Emsworth show

Angela and I had a great day yesterday at the Emsworth show it was pretty dammed hot but luckily they had left the sides off of the craft marquee so not as bad as expected
We met some lovely ladies who we hope may become Powertex devotees and sold some art work (some of it reluctantly)

Ghekko Powertex Workshop

This is a fairly large project and once it has been dried for three weeks it can be hung in the garden!
Powertex is weatherproof!!
Treat yourself to learning a new skill and expressing yourself in this lovely piece of artwork!!

Next two workshops

My next Powertex workshop is a pair of Fish garden sculptures I have one place left but I will repeat this later in the year
Also on the 21st of September I have a Hot Air Balloon this is suitable for indoors ( it would be lovely in a child's bedroom)
Or once dried for three weeks it would be suitable for outdoors

New sign for fetes and advertising

I attended two fetes last weekend and unfortunately my poor husband got boxed in and couldn't leave so he had to spend last Sunday on the stand with me whilst he was there he said "you need a sign that says "Come and learn Powertex"
So I just happened to have a long canvas kicking around from a piece of failed mixed media ( see never throw anything away you never know when it might come in useful) and I set to work creating a canvas billboard
I am pretty pleased with how it turned out and it will get its first showing on bank holiday Monday at the Emsworth Show I will be there showing off my Powertex wares and advertising my workshops along with the very talented Angela Lee if you are in the area and catch this post in time do pop along!

The workshop on the 29th is now full I have two spaces on the 21st left

Powertex Sea Horse Workshop

I have created a workshop that can be created as a 2D or 3D project it is a Sea Horse
The 2D one would be hung and the 3D one is free standing
The 2D one will take 3 hours and the 3D freestanding one will take 5 hours
Please let me know if you would like a place and which one you would like to do

Ghekko wall plaque

So today I created a Ghekko for the wall in my garden
Powertex of course!!
I love how he turned out - not sure yet if I could offer it as a workshop it is quite time consuming!!

Well I have decided to put on a Workshop making this lovely fella
It will be 4 hours of creative fun on the 16th of November

Shoal of Powertex Fish

I have wanted fish swimming in my borders in the garden for years ever since I saw some garden sculptures at a garden show but they were too expensive for my tiny budget
So with my Powertex skills I decided to create my own
My husband cut out the bases and then I covered them with the powertex soaked fabric then added the colouring
As soon as they had been left to dry for three weeks they went into my garden
I love to see them gently  swaying in the breeze
I am holding workshops where you can make a pair of these if you are interested
