Summer Sorbet stamps and free Carried away papers

I used the Sale a Bration free Carried away papers as the background for this card
I then stamped each balloon from Summer Sorbet three times so that I could make the balloons 3d
I cut each balloon out making each layer smaller than the one before
Then I inked the edges and mounted each layer up on top of the previous one with dimensionals
the sentiment I added comes from the Beautiful You stamp set
I love the bold colours of this card!

Dragonfly Dreams and Hexagon embossing folder

I used the bees from the Dragonfly Dreams bundle to create this card along with the Hexagon embossing folder which I absolutely love it's so deeply embossed
The card is made as an easel card which means it stands up with no risk of falling over on the mantle piece or window sill where ever you place your celebration cards
I embossed the front panel and inked it up with ink and sponges
I die cut the bees once I had inked them up with Archival ink then coloured them using markers
I stamped spots and raised the front base panel up with dimensionals so that the card has a "stop" then added a sentiment from the same stamp set

Wilderness Awaits and Lovely as a Tree

I used the stag stamp from Wilderness Awaits set to create this card along with Lovely as a tree
Firstly I stamped the stag and stamped him again on a post it note to create a mask
I placed the mask over the stag and stamped the trees behind him
I then inked all around the stag using ink and sponges to create the background
I coloured the stag in using markers
I then stamped the sentiment from Blooms & Wishes and punched it out with the decorative label punch
I think this makes a great card for a man

Avant Garden

I used the Free Sale a Bration stamp set Avant Garden to create this card
I stamped the stems and leaves onto the largest label and then added flowers that I had stamped and cut out
I stamped the sentiment from the same set and punched it out with the decorative label punch
I stamped the spots onto the cart front then added the label and sentiment after sponging the edges with ink
I lastly added a flower below the sentiment

Awesomely Artistic

This card was created using stamps from Awesomely Artistic
I first die cut a layering circle from some smokey slate and drew around the aperture on the card front
I then inked grass and sky into the circle then stamped leaves in two shades of green
I then stamped a dragonfly onto the card and another onto a spare piece of cardstock so I could cut it out and add it on the outer edges of the circle
I added spots onto the smokey slate with always artichoke ink then added it to the card front
I stamped a sentiment from Butterfly Basics and punched it out with the decorative label punch and inked the edges with green ink
as its the first day of spring today I think this card fits the bill perfectly

from Land to Sea & Seaside embossing folder

I used the embossing folder "Seaside" to make the wavy background to this easel card
I inked it up with inks and sponges
I then stamped, inked and cut out various elements from the Land to Sea stamps, I cut out the Turtle and the Marlin twice creating a decopage look
unfortunately it is not easy to see this from the photograph

I die cut one panel from the swirly bird dies to create the reeds
The sentiment is from Dragonfly Dreams

Dragonfly Dreams Bundle

I used the free Sale a Bration papers as the background for this card and inked them up with inks and sponges
I then die cut two Dragonflies
I stamped a sentiment from Beautiful You and punched it out lastly inking around the edge
I think this would be good for a Mans card with the green and brown colourings

Curvy Keepsake Easter Bunny & Chick boxes

I run the local WI craft project club and next Monday we are going to make these two sweet boxes as Easter is just around the corner
I found the basic idea from various ones on Pintrest there are actually loads of different boxes for different seasons on there

They hold a Cadbury cream egg or several of the small ones I wonder if the contents will remain in their boxes until Easter!!
I made them using the curvy keepsake die you need to cut two in your desired colours
I then cut the feet, ears, wings, beak, nose, cheeks & eyes using various punches
Remember to curve the boxes before you glue them together and sandwich the feet in between the two layers
Draw in the white hi lights on the eyes with a white pen

Beautiful You

I couldn't leave out the last Beauty in the Beautiful You set so here she is
I stamped her in Archival Ink so that I could add water colouring
I then inked all around her using sponges and added the sentiment
I matted her onto some black cardstock to make it pop and then added this to the card which I had covered in the free papers from Sale a Bration
I really love inking backgrounds it plays to the artist in me!

Beautiful You

Having made a card yesterday with the lady and umbrella I thought I would make another using the very swish lady, she reminds me of someone from Paris or Milan
I stamped the lady on the largest oval from the stitched shapes dies and then coloured her in using ink and an aqua painter
I then covered my card front with some of the free Sale a Bration papers and inked it up
I added a doily and then the lady and my sentiment
I think she looks gorgeous hope you do too

Beautiful You

I heard today that my Aunt is poorly so I thought I would make her a card to wish her a speedy recovery, she has always been a glamour puss so the Beautiful You stamps seemed the obvious choice
I stamped one of the ladies onto the card with black Archival ink so that I could watercolor the lady
using ink from my ink pads I coloured in the image
I added smokey slate to the base of the lady to ground her and painted in the rain lines with an aqua painter
I stamped the lacy pattern around the sides of the card using a stamp from Touches of Texture and inked the edges of the card with a sponge
I then matted the image to some yellow cardstock and added it to the card front, the sentiment is also from Beautiful You
I hope she likes it and is better quickly

Crazy about you, Grateful bunch Bendy Card

So today as I had a little more time I thought I would make a bendy card, I found the general idea how to make one from you tube then adapted it to make a bigger card
I think the Crazy about you flowers need a bigger canvas
firstly I stamped a number of flowers and leaves and die cut them using the matching dies and punches
I stamped some of the flowers and a butterfly from Grateful bunch and punched out the flowers using the matching punch I fussy cut one of the butterflies the other is punched using the small butterfly punch
When I thought I had enough elements for the card I stamped some leaves directly onto the background of the bendy card and then added all the flowers and leaves
I kept checking that it would all fold up to fit in an envelope
I lastly added a sentiment from Blooms and Wishes, a dragonfly from Dragonfly Dreams and a few tiny flowers cut with a bitty punch and a few pearls
this card was made fairly easily because of the great Co ordinated stamps, punches and dies from the wonderful Stampin' Up!

Firstly I stamped four jars onto the white cardstock and a couple of extra ones for layering
Then I stamped the Flower stems from Touches of Texture
I then added the stamped bees  from Touches of Texture and stamped some of the flowers onto scrap card so I could cut
them out with a circle punch
I layered up the jars with dimensionals and added some leaves from Jar of Love and the flowers
I have added three layers of matting behind the card to echo the colours in the main images
lastly I added some smokey slate to the base of the jars to ground them

z fold box card - petite petals, butterfly basics,Kinda Eclectic, Awesomely Artistic, Flower shop to name a few

I made these two Z fold box cards yesterday the card base was easy enough to make but the ingredients to go in them took a fair amount of time to stamp and punch or fussy cut
really love how they look though
I have used a number of stamp sets to make them but I think they are worth the effort

Hey Chick and hexagon embossing folder

A couple of my easter cards
just switched up the colours of thread
firstly I embossed some cream card with the Hexagons embossing folder then I added some colour to it with a brayer and ink
I stamped the chick onto an oval I had cut with the stitched framelets and again onto some spare card
I inked up the bird on the spare card using sponges and ink then cut him out omitting the feet
I then layered this onto the bird on the stiched oval with dimensionals and added inking around the edges of the Oval
I then painted some green at the birds feet to ground him and added the sentiment
I tied some thread around the hexagon panel before adding it to the card

Jar of Love and Everyday Jar thinlets

I have a birthday coming up for a friend's son who is early 20's and I wanted to make a clean and simple card for him
I thought this stampset was a good fit
I stamped the jar and the fish and cut them out with the matching framelets.
I layered the jar onto the card using dimensionals, glued on the fish and painted the fish and water with wink of stella
I then stamped the sentiment and cut it into a tag shape and tied it to the jar with some orange thread to match the fish and the matting layer
I just added a little Grey ink at the base of the jar to ground it

Work of Art, Petite Petals and a sentiment from Butterfly Basics

I made this card up for one of my Easter cards using the Work of Art stamps and Petite Petals, the leaves were stamped with a design from Foxy Friends and the sentiment came from Butterfly Basics

Firstly I die cut a layering oval from some white card
I placed it onto the card front and drew around the inside line with pencil
I then inked up a stamp from the Work of Art and stamped directly onto the card until I had filled the space the aperture will go over
I stuck the oval section over the stamping onto the card then stamped the leaves from Foxy Friends
I then stamped some Petite Petals and cut them out with the punch
I added the flowers over the stamped leaves and then added rhinestones to the middle
The sentiment is from Butterfly Basics
really pleased with the results its really spring like!

Hey Chick - Free with Sale a Bration until 31.03.17

I wanted to make some Easter cards this weekend and the Hey Chick stamp set is just made for Easter
I stamped the Chicks onto some Ovals which I had die cut, one with the stitched shapes oval and one from Layering Ovals
I then inked up the chicks using a sponge and the ink pads
I cut out the larger sort of triangular shaped one and added it over the original stamped image using dimensionals to lift it up
I then fussy cut the skinny chick
I stamped the mesh all over the background with a stamp from Ghoulish grunge and then added green ink with a sponge
I layered up the ovals and then the fussy cut chick to create this jumble of birds
I think its pretty fun I hope the recipients will too!

Wetlands Goose

I made this card with the goose and reeds from Wetlands
more grasses were made using an upside down jelly fish from Land to Sea
the seabirds came from High Tide
I inked the background first using a direct to paper technique to create a scene
I stamped the goose onto an oval panel which I had die cut using the stitched framelets
I then inked him up to match the scenery
before adding the centre panel I added two torn strip of paper to the background of the card and stamped on some more birds and reeds to give a bit more interest to the base of the card
the sentiment is from Wetlands
I think this will make a great card for one of my male relatives

From Land to Sea, wavy embossing and Swirly Scribbles

I had seen a card on Pintrest from an independant Demonstrator in Vancouver where incidentally my aunt lIves it was similar to mine but I like to put a spin on it to make it my own
first I inked the blue piece and then embossed it with the wavy embossing folder.
I then inked a piece with blue and green then die cut the long wavy panel from Swirly Scribbles I kept all the off cuts so that I could make more seaweed.
I inked the Turtles from Land to Sea with black archival ink then coloured them in with ink and a sponge.
the sentiment comes from Jar of Love stampset which I thought was pretty apt.
the layering piece behind everything was created by inking up some brown paper with two different green inks and a sponge

Flower Patch and Flower Fair framelets

I've been playing around with box cards and finally came up with one that I was pleased enough to share
I have used an A4 sheet of card to create the base and added panels from the free papers from sale a Bration
I stamped and die cut flowers and leaves from Flower Patch and the Flower Fair framelets
I then added them to the panels inside the box frame
I added 2 panels to give me more places to add elements
I then added a few flowers and leaves to the drop flaps and a message to the back panel wich I had reinforced with a stronger piece of cardstock
Now I just need to decide who to send it to!

Jar of Love Bundle

This card was made using The Jar of Love stamps and Everyday Jar of framelets dies
I stamped the stems first onto the background and then added a jar that had been cut out using the dies and I had one stem left over from another project so I added that too
I grounded the jar by adding some Grey ink at the bottom I used ink from smokey slate and a waterbrush
to finish the card off I added the little dragonflies
This card was made in a similar fashion with the addition of the bow and a little tag I also added a few flowers at the bottom as if the petals had fallen
hope you like them

The Wilderness Awaits, Lovely as a Tree and Endless Birthday Wishes

I used stamps from three sets to make this card
The dog is from
The Wilderness Awaits set
The trees from Lovely as a Tree and the sentiment is from Endless Birthday Wishes I just lined up three words on my block to create this sentiment
the background has been sponged using a direct to paper technique
Once again I made an error on the original creating the necessity to make the card in two panels but I think it looks pretty good!
